South Park is the best political satire of the last 15 years.

In this episode they managed to take on animal rights nuts and the politics of our time.

LINK

They had a Giant Douche debating a Turd Sandwich. This is exactly the usual choice we have in American elections.

I think the democrats are the turd sandwich and the giant douche represents the republicans.

Or it may be that the incumbent is the turd sandwich and the challenger is the giant douche. I see both Kerry and Romney as giant douches.

Which is which in your opinion?

I always viewed Kerry as the giant douche and Bush as the turd sandwich.

This.

The "Vote or Die" parody was pretty funny too.

while i don't agree w/ Lewis black on much... he's fairly spot on here.

quote:

The only thing dumber than a Democrat or a Republican is when those pricks work together. You see, in our two-party system, the Democrats are the party of no ideas and the Republicans are the party of bad ideas. It usually goes something like this. A Republican will stand up in Congress and say, 'I've got a really bad idea.' And a Democrat will immediately jump to his feet and declare, 'And I can make it sh*ttier.'

quote:

I don't know if you've noticed, but our two-party system is a bowl of shite looking at itself in the mirror. Basically, the last eight years, I feel, the Republicans stood around farting and the Democrats went, 'Ooh, let me smell it.'"

Getting the majority of American to agree on anything is pretty damn hard, yet polls show that over 80% of Americans are for congressional term limits. So why cant we get our representatives to pass that if they indeed work for us. Let that sink in for a minute.

If they don't work for us, who do they work for? #2 thing that should be done is stop allowing for corporations to fund these life long politicians, make them come to the people for money.

It all starts from those 2 critical laws, once we break down the monopoly of power we allow more competition to enter which will be better for all of us. Until then there should only be 2 things you discuss when talking about politics in public. Only ever talk about getting term limits and destroy corporate donations. Nothing else matters until this is passed. And as long as you allow the other fake news stories to distract you they will continue to divide and conquer you.

I like the two party system with term limits. European politics aren't any better even though they have more parties. It's just more money to dole out to more interest groups.
