Seriously, I looked over the website and what they say it's about and I don't get it quite frankly. I have teenage family coming in tomorrow for a few days and this is what they are into.
Anybody have anything here?
Thanks!

I haven't done it in a couple of years, but I always had a lot of fun doing it with the kids. It is a great way to get them out to explore your area rather than just sitting on the couch playing video games.

Same here. You see some interesting places doing it.

It probably helps if you read the Geocaching 101 part of the website.
But to break it down in the simplest of terms, it's essentially a "treasure" hunt for various areas using GPS coordinates. I've only done a few but it can be fun, especially when it's a cool location that maybe isn't visited regularly.

I would actually want to try that sometime soon

Yeah...I was pretty active with it for about a year. I found caches in most of the Southern states and a few in Asia as well.
I even hid a few, including one that is underwater in the Arkansas River for a good portion of the year.

I've done it before but the places I go never have a trade-type deal. It's always logs. Some caches have money/toys that you can take and then replace. It sucks when you go looking and it's just a log(I usually forget a pen, too)

I've done it and think it's pretty awesome. Some places around here are old, forgotten mine sites on mountains, and trails I've never heard of.

Kids always seem to really enjoy it

When you search you can filter by cache size, the larger ones usually hold some stuff. Micro and small caches are almost always just logs.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Definitely going to start doing this on the weekends.

It's fun. Like treasure hunting. But without young kids I probably would have never got into it.

I've got friends who bring beer/wine and make an afternoon of it. The ones that lead to alpine areas are fun.

These are my favorites. I have found a few at really nice waterfalls after a good hike.

Oh my goodness just got back from a state park and a couple of caches the wonder twins wanted to find.
These kids are good and this is far more intense than I had imagined, some of these micro caches are insane and they find them like a toy's in a box of cereal!
Beer and a nap for the old goat this afternoon!
