Leslie is the better family man, interviewer, motivator, coach, and human being. He also has a degree from the University of Michigan, and, unlike the other coach, he has vastly longer and more successful PRO coaching experience.

Additionally, Miles has been at LSU for a DECADE, his longest job stint; while the other coach has been at bama for 7 years, and only stayed in Baton Rouge for 5. Miles obviously has the more substantial character, moral fiber, and especially - loyalty and integrity in his left toenail than that other 'man' has in his entire body.

Nick Saban's weekend got even better Sunday when he became a grandfather for the first time. His son, Nicholas Saban, and wife Kelse Laney welcomed their first child.

Saban instantly lit up when asked about it after Tuesday's practice.

He said he raced over to the hospital early Sunday morning, but wife Terry Saban already beat him there.

"It's really wonderful and you have to count your blessings to have a healthy baby and a healthy mother and someone that beautiful come into your family is really something that you have to count your blessings on," Saban said. "Like so many things may not go right, and we certainly feel like we're blessed to have a healthy baby.

"We actually had a rocking chair over there so I was kinda happy rocking that baby for a little bit."

Nick and Terry Saban give keys for new Habitat home to 15th Tuscaloosa family displaced by tornado

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban took an hour or so off from preparing for the last home game of the football season to attend the dedication of a new Habitat for Humanity home with his wife Terry Friday morning.

The Sabans gave the keys to a new home on Juanita Drive in Alberta to Nicholas Giles, Shalare Powell and their two daughters after a short ceremony. It is the 15th such ceremony the Sabans have made possible through the partnership of the Sabans' charity Nick's Kids Fund and the Tuscaloosa branch of Habitat for Humanity.

Each of the 15 homes have been built for and given to victims displaced by an EF4 tornado that tore through the city in April 2011, killing more than 50 people and destroying more than 10 percent of the structures in the city.

Alabama Forever, Nick’s Kids and the Junior League of Tuscaloosa have teamed up to build a state of the art playground for children in the Tuscaloosa area that will be open to the public on December 7, 2012. The playground will be on Jack Warner Parkway on the newly developed Riverwalk and will provide children with a high quality, durable playground that is safe for all ages. The playground is approximately 40 feet by 27 feet and valued at $40,000.

"Coach and Mrs. Saban do not get enough credit for the leadership they have displayed in Tuscaloosa in the past year and a half. They are humanitarians and philanthropists that goes way beyond what happens on the football field.”

Might be a few in Stillwater that would beg to differ.

I should have put a warning in my posts for Saban haters, since he's actually smiling a lot.

7 things we learned about Nick Saban from his GQ profile article

5. He loves his wife.

The Sabans met in seventh grade, were married by 21, and spent the next few decades moving—at least fifteen times—as Saban worked his way through the ranks as an assistant. Along the way they adopted two children, now grown. They’re devout Catholics who rarely miss Mass, and they talk constantly during the day. Whenever Saban flies, he calls her right before takeoff and just after landing.
