good friend of mine just jumped off subs a few months ago. It worked for him, but you are really just trading one addiction for a more manageable one. Once you get yourself straightened out to not go buy dope and get yourself in order taper off the subs till you get to a real low dose because those suck to come off of too.

You sure your friend wasnt taking Methadone? Methadone is even more addictive than heroin. Clinics that sell methadone in daily doses are the biggest bunch of criminals around. $20 bucks a day or more for a drug that is old and generic that your doctor would prescribe in quantity if you had chronic back trouble for 20 bucks for a huge container of it.

Suboxone is non addictive as far as I know. It is expensive however if your insurance doesnt cover it. Can be as much as 400 a month out of pocket.

It's a class III drug so it has dependency potential.

it wasn't methadone. but ya that is supposed to be ridiculously hard to come off of.

Suboxone withdrawals are not as intense, but the half life is just so much longer that they can last forever. But if you work down a schedule to taper down with your doctor it isn't that bad. My friend said about a week with low energy and three days or so in the middle where his stomach felt weird and he had some minor aches.
