I love your optimism, but what do you base this on?

- Recent precedent. Two SECCGs in three seasons. The fact that we were 5 yards away from the BCSCG 19 months ago. We were kicking arse and ranked 6th in the country last year before one too many of our playmakers went down in the Tennessee game. We had a good plan. It was working. But then an unprecedented amount of injuries to our offense happen (rank what you would've perceived as our top playmakers for last season, and then tell me how many of them missed the middle of the season or the whole season).

- Returning players on defense. How many defensive players at this time last year had at least 8 career starts? How many defensive players on the rosters now have at least 8 career starts. Like I said, our defense would've been a lot better imo even if Grantham would've come back. When if ever in the history of Georgia football have 4 different true freshmen started in the secondary in one season (like 2013). We'll actually have a grown man defense this season. Last season it was an inexperienced excitable teenager defense.

- Offensive line supposedly is better. Safe to say that all of the injury voodoo to our best playmakers won't happen again.

- Coach Richt is a hell of a coach. Coach Bobo is a hell of a coach. Coach Pruitt was the DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR OF THE BEST DEFENSE IN THE NATION AND THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS last season. Are you saying that he was a figurehead and not the real reason why FSU's defense dominated. Jimbo Fisher is an offensive coach. Was there some sort of mystery person who was really calling plays on defense? And spare me the stuff about FSU's defense being "loaded." All of the magazines at this time last year were saying that FSU's defense was rebuilding. The reason they dominated is because Coach Pruitt moved people around, coached them up and put them in the best positions to make plays.

There is more. But the bottom line is that we're ready to roll!!!!! Trust me.

Bottom line: Two years ago I thought UGA's o-line coach was teaching the Dawgs how to hold like professionals.. last year I thought the blocking scheme the year before was blind luck.. Who knows?

Whole lotta stoopid in this thread. When has our offense NOT been predictable. We don't have morris, malzahn, or kelly at the chalk. We rely on execution, timing, athleticism, and of course blocking. The fricking scoreboard seems to approve

Anybody using the last few games as a judgment on Mason is a dumb arse. Getting tossed into sec play leading an offense stripped of its biggest playmakers is a cakewalk right? And WAY too much is being made about the size of his arm. If we suffer offensively that will not be the reason
