You can't kill someone over someone stealing your belongings. You can only kill someone if you fear your life is in danger.

A huge problem in our society is that we ADAMENTLY defend stupidity. Yeah, the guy probably went too far. The woman is dead because she broke into someone's home with the intention of committing a crime however. Getting shot is a risk you take when you decide to commit robbery.

When our kids do poorly in school, we blame everyone but the kid. When people end up on the street because of poor choices, we blame everyone but them. And we often do the same with people like the woman in question. Our society does not value accountability or personal responsibility.
