I always knew Vandy to be the "Harvard of the South." No one has ever called Ole Miss that with a straight face, right? RIGHT?

Folks in MS do refer to OM as the "Harvard of the South" which cracks me up. Even their out of state students laugh at that. Plus, OM likes to give off a UVA type of attitude which can drive other SEC fans crazy.

I believe they sell "Harvard of the South" T-shirts at the Ole Miss student bookstore.

Oh, yes they have. Over the years I've had many OM students and graduates tell me this, and they were serious as a heart attack. Of course, I openly laughed in their face. That's why that ranking is so funny. They always call us a hick, redneck school and we're ranked above them in academics.

Vanderbilt or Duke. Emory is a fine school as well, but I think those two get the nod over Emory.
