I disagree on Russell being a bigger recruit than Chad Jackson. That dude was unstoppable at Hoover. He went to Florida around the height of their reign. Maybe down south Russell was a bigger name but in the 6a division that year Chad Jackson was a cut above the rest. I was surprised he didn't have a better pro career with the patriots.

Yeah... I grew up south if bham and remember Russell playing for a state championship as an 8th grader... he was that good. By his senior year, everyone knew who he was.
If I lived in the bham area and heard all the Jackson hype, I might feel differently.
