There's truth to that. Though, I'd argue that the most popular player on practically any team is the back up QB.
That said, I never liked the look of VL - he was too lanky and didn't have the speed to compensate for that. JT isn't a Nesbitt either, but he has breakaway speed. Byerly, however, is a bruiser. I expect both to take a lot of snaps this year. What I hope above all else is that CPJ finds his nuts and plays to win again. If that means platooning QBs and running Laskey on the dive for a full quarter, so be it.

I agree that you probably need to sell out 100% to a beast triple option QB to have the most success. That will eliminate any QB that has any desire of making it to the next level, but that's a casualty of CPJ's system.
Get a true Div. I level athlete T.O. QB who loves to hit and be hit and you will ring up the customary ungodly amount of yards you're used to in that offense.
Don't think CPJ likes dealing with hybrid QBs much.
