Look, if he had went 3-9 with 2012's roster I would get your point.
But losing the SEC's leading receiver, a 3rd round pick RB, a former all-SEC QB and an OL that saw time on the super bowl champions is kind of a big difference in the roster

This is college football you lose players every year, its the nature of the beast.
