You mean they are gonna revert back to their Kentucky like days? I don't think that's gonna happen. I think they are more on track to be the next Auburn like team. JMO, it's the feeling ya get when you walk the streets of Columbia or go to a game there.

They don't have the football resources or tradition Auburn does.

I'd guess they'll stay competitive while Spurrier's there, then regress back to like what Arky usually is (hovering around 7-8 wins, a few 10 win and 5 win seasons here and there). I don't think they'll ever be Kentucky level again. They have a better program than that.

Richt is 4-2 there. SC has also coincidentally had their best run of football success in their entire school history during this same time period.

To expect SC to become an auburn (in other words, a nationally prominent, high expectations team year in and year out) is laughable. Nobody on this earth knows what SC is going to do when they dont' have their best coach ever. Let's also not forget that they've had their 2 of their 3 best players in school history in the last 4 years as well.
