I'm not a fan of big box stores across the board. But Walmart is easily the worst of the bunch. And they have a tendency to attract some of the worst trash in the area because of their price points and product quality. I'll pay a little more at somewhere like Target if need be to avoid dealing with that.

But FWIW I buy majority of my produce at either our local farmer's market or some of the smaller stores that carry local products. Or I just grow it myself in the summer. If I can't manage that I'm shopping at Kroger.

If you're shopping at Target to avoid the trailer park, ghetto, and illegal immigrant crowd, then that's perfectly understandable but as it relates to product there's no difference between their merchandise and what you get from Wal-Mart. It is the same stuff from the same sources.
