Since I have a group of SCAR fans here, the Florida moderator on 24-7 said you guys ran a poll last season and you preferred winning the Clemson game over the SEC East by a 4 to 1 margin what's up with that don't you guys dominate Clemson? I asked my father (a Cock alum from the George Rogers era-- he played for the school but the other kind of football) and he didn't understand it either but he lives in Texas, are Clemson fans just insufferable on the ground in the state to the point where even winning like the 6th of 7 or whatever is more important than having a shot to win the SEC as a whole?

No absolutely not. Only dumb fans would rather beat their OOC rival than win their division or especially conference. That's all message board banter. I would take a blowout loss to Clemson every year if it meant we could win the conference.

Thankfully right now we're in position to do both. There was a thread on here earlier today about this exact topic because Spurrier said something about it.

IMO Spurrier's greatest philosophy since he has gotten here has been "if you have a good enough team to compete for the SEC title, beating Clemson will be a part of that".

We may have not won a title, but a few years after him saying that we sure have beaten Clemson.

Also, I would MUCH rather win the East than beat Clemson.
