I still don't see why they (ESPN) don't offer a direct pay for streaming service. Screw the providers. It's not like I have to have Directv on board to stream Netflix movies. ESPN should just cut the providers out and take the Netflix route. Make the providers obsolete.

Because why take $30 a month or whatever from the 10% of the population that is college football fans when you can take $1+ from everyone who has cable?

Because without net neutrality the providers would just throttle connections to that streaming service until ESPN pays them a chunk of money...

The second ESPN does that, WatchESPN will suddenly quit working with those providers.
