What's the hype with LSU and this true freshman.

Fournette MAY be good but LSU doesnt have a SEASONED QB thus equaling a decent YET disappointing season. Maybe 15-16 will be the year of the Bayou Tigers.

He looks the part. That's all anyone can say.

Not having a proven QB before last season didn't seem to hurt Auburn too much

Nick Marshall came out of nowhere last fall and he couldn't throw worth a shite.
The key is an OL that returns 4/5 and has some great experience in the 2-deep, plus a defense that will look like 2011. I shite you not.
Most people see more upside with Harris and hopes he gets the early nod at QB, but both QBs are dual threat guys.
The question, to me, really isn't the emergence at QB, it's replacing the stud WRs that we lost in OBJ and Landry. We will see if Dupre and Quinn can be help soften their loss.

It didn't seem to hurt LSU when we played Auburn last year..

Sigh. That game signified the changing of the guard. Nick Marshall continually got better. He will be even better this year. LSU will lose BIG in JHS this year.

Winston wasnt a seasoned QB this past year. Neither was JFF when he won his heisman. neither was McCarron when he won the natty in 2011. neither was nick marshall this year. i really dont understand everyone on this boards logic that a new QB automatically translates into a disappointing season.

Sigh if you really think LSU will lose big. Chavis will play contain just like we did against Johnny and our OL will be pretty good this yr

Winston was one of the top prospects out of high school. He was surrounded by a great supporting cast at FSU and also played in the ACC.
LSU doesnt have a JFF and isnt quite known for stellar QBS and developing them

...but Auburn's defense was horrible all season.

What happens if Marshall regresses this yr. So many unknowns.

Cam Cameron's track record throughout his career says otherwise.

Cam Cameron.. If Mett was so great LSU wouldve won the SEC last year

Draft attrition on defense led to breakdowns on that side of the ball.
