No Sumlin is not a better coach than Fisher (really hoping that doesn't need to be explained), nor is he a better coach than Richt or Miles. Hell, Freeze might even give him a run for his money.
Now take a deep breath and count to 10...

Agreed. Rumlin is the worst

I find it hysterically ironic that the NFL (a league which Saban failed and then quit) is voting him the top coach, yet the winningest coach in CFB the last decade, who was ALSO a successful pro assistant coach for many years, was not listed at all.

Ditto. He is fricking terrible. Maybe this year he'll only lose by a touchdown or two instead of getting bent over by Miles.

Without all of Sherman's recruits to prop him up? I'd be surprised if one game isn't 77-0

Art Briles has had one good season in 10+ years coaching college and he is at #6

Should be fascinating to watch one of the top coaches in college football coach the Auburn-Kansas St. game on September 18th. Gus Malzahn will be there too.
Gus will be on the list next season after going 4-0 against this list this fall.

He won FOUR nat'l championships!!!! You can't argue with that kind of success. Sorry. And he kicked Miles' arse when it mattered most.

...says some internet idiot who's never coached/played a down of meaningful football is response to a poll taken from coaches who are paid millions of dollars for coaching the best football talent on the planet...now who am I going with here...
Nowhere does it say this is a poll result of coaches. It's the writer's opinion, which is fair game to disagree with since I don't believe he's ever coached a game of football. For instance, I believe his ranking of Navy's Blaze Ryder at #4 on his '14 best names in college football' list is downright criminal.

I bet you wouldn't say if they put someone else over Saban

A professional at what? List making? Because it ain't football.

..Don't think he was claiming that Miles is a better coach than Saban.

Malzahn I can kinda understand, as he hasn't established continue success at Auburn yet - that will change.
I would put Miles above a lot of those coaches, and I think the OBC is too low.

I'm biased obviously but I'm kind of offended that he appears to be the only active coach with a natty not on this list.
I get the perception surrounding him, "he inherited a stacked program", "he backed into his only national titles", but he's kept this train running for almost 10 years now.
