Damn. I felt like Goodwin made Bianco look like a God just as Alan Dunn has made Maineri look great. I really am surprised it took Goodwin this long to become a head coach. He's been great everywhere he's been.
Are there any particular coaches Ole Miss fans are already targeting? Javi Sanchez deserves an interview

Christian Trent will be our ace. LSU will be fricked for the friday night game. beyond that nobody knows. too many question marks.

You don't think our baseball team who won the west this year and went to Omaha improved dramatically from the past year? We won 10 more games and led the sec in hitting and pitching. That's not dramatic improvement?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Trent and most other pitchers will not be as effective next year due to the new baseball being used. The ball will not have as much break. It is going to be interesting to see just how much the new ball changes the way pitchers throw

I was just kidding. I think the word you are looking for is drastically.

what's your point? because it happened one time it will happen again?

That every year teams usually lose their best hitters and pitchers, but can still improve. We return more pitching than what we had this past year, thus the view of us being worse because we lost bats is a tad pessimistic. Returning 7 of your top 11 bats and 8 of your top 11 arms isn't a reason to be pessimistic. Now Im not saying expect us in the final four again, but we should win 40 games and host a regional, which is as good as we were this past year.

It's going to affect everyone the same, how is that bad news? Hell it will probably affect Trent less than others because he relies on command more so than movement.

We lost our entire weekend rotation and our 2nd round pick closer from last year and our pitching didn't really drop off so it can happen
Not sure it happens all that often though. I will say that pitching seems like it is easier to replace than good hitting (or maybe it's just us)

Starting to understand what it feels like to be a fan of Alabama football. Just sending fools left and right to the pros and simply reload every year

You do have trouble with that part of the game. You pitch the hell out of it though.

If Bianco can do anything, it is develop pitchers. Lynn, Pomeranz, Bittle, Irwin, Maloney, Barrett, Wahl, Mayers, etc...

matters more who you lose more so than just raw numbers. for instance, last year LSU only lost 3 of their top bats. they just happened to be two senior leaders and best hitters (mason katz and raph rhymes) and one of the most talented hitters on the team (Jacoby Jones). LSU also lost their starting catcher in Tyler Moore, though not the best hitter in the world.
LSU only lost one pitcher from the rotation and 2 relief pitchers. Those relief pitchers just happened to be two of the better relief pitchers on the team (Chris Cotton and Nick Rumbelow)
It sounds like Ole Miss lost their two captains on offense, a starting pitcher, and their closer (if i'm remembering correctly). That's not as matter of fact to replace as you think.

I just think its funny Trent got cut from LSU and he ended up being our best pitcher

About that #8 signing class.
Any signees not expected to make it to Oxford?

Don't know how much this matters but thought I would mention it. Will Stokes, pitcher out of West Lauderdale who won the state championship this year is coming to Oxford. We rarely get players from West Lauderdale which is a perennial powerhouse. Their coach is the winningest coach in Mississippi high school baseball history. I am a West Lauderdale grad, so I thought I would at least mention it. Jay Powell who pitched for the Marlins in game seven of their World Series win was also from there.
