Yet I'm saying he's worshipped as a god for winning 1 national title at UF. You're only focusing on the USC parts of what I say because you're to busy trying to defend USC to actually ask why is he treated as an equal to someone who has won 3 more national titles and someone who did it at two different SEC schools? Spurrier won many SEC titles and that's excellent and he deserves a lot of respect for that, but let's be real: National Titles > than SEC titles.

Also anybody knows Lou Holtz brought USC back and then hit a rut for a while and Spurrier came right on the heels.

LSU was in far worse shape when Saban took over. Alabama and Florida were pretty equal in terms of talent when Saban and Spurrier took over with a slight edge to Alabama but both had recently been on probation.

You USC fans keep playing both sides of the game as well. You want to be respected like LSU, Bama, Auburn but when people start to compare you to teams like that you play the 'we have a shitty history you can't compare us...'

You can't have it both ways. Either people are right when they say USC is good but not great or you have to quit making excuses for why you haven't been back to the SECCG.

Are you fricking retarded?

No South Carolina fan is putting themselves on the level of Bama, Auburn, or LSU. You're pulling that straight out of your arse.

I'm no Spurrier fan because of what he has done to UGA over the years (I do think he is the 2nd best coach in the SEC right now), but the guy turned around the history of two SEC programs and won a national title without the help of an unprecedented number of support staff members or the tradition of success that demanded/aided winning.

It's fascinating, give credit where credit is due.
