It could also be said that Fulmer and Spurrier raised the bar for the rest of the SEC to catch up too. No denying Fulmer lost his touch in the last 4 years, but Mark Richt has never set a standard in this conference like Fulmer did in his prime. I would argue Fulmer was one of the best if not the best recruiter in the country back in the day.

No the SEC was just terrible and finally started to rise when Richt and Saban entered the conference

Please tell us what bar fulmer raised or standard he set?

Spurrier changed the landscape of the conference with the fun n gun. Meyer changed it again with his offense. Saban went back to grassroots with elite, punishing D and an excellent run game. Malzahn is making noise now with his version of hte spread.

Fulmer didn't change shite. Just because he won games doesn't mean he set some sort of standard.

Richt helped run Fulmer out of the conference.
