People who follow realignment, and who would respond to a thread like this, are probably more likely to be thinking about it strategically.

I'd favor UNC and VTech. Adds the two remaining Southern states, as well as one blue blood basketball program (UNC) and one good football program (VTech). UVA just doesn't seem to really care about athletics. While UNC football is historically no great shakes, I think w/ SEC membership, both the new additions would see surges in their recruiting. Not only strengthening themselves in their own states, but pulling recruits from B1G territory.

But really, my first choice is just no schools in Texas or Oklahoma.
