Klarvin isn't even worth engaging, he's just a shitty troll. You try to actually talk football and he can't do it.

I'm not trolling FWIW. I just think Arky can do better than Bert. I may be proven wrong if he does well, just my opinion.

Maybe so. We hired a Big 10 championship coach, three times over. Its not like we went mid-major or took some other team's castoff.
Bielema gets under peoples' skin. We get it. Its part of his style. Everybody hated Bobby when he came here, too. Everybody can't hire a bucktoof preacherboy. We'll see how Bret does after 3 years here. We will be better this year.

I'm surprised Mizzou isn't listed. When the Big 10 dumped Mizzou and the Big 12 looked like it could split at any moment. Most Mizzou fans were crying about the possibility of ending up in the Missouri Valley Conference. All of a sudden the SEC adds them and the fan base thinks they are a blue blood football program.
From the MVC to owning the SEC. That qualifies as a delusional fan base in my book.

On paper Arkansas hired a bigtime coach. In reality, they just hired a big coach.
I think 2Bs is better than his record suggests, I just don't think he will be even close to Petrino's level. BP is one of a kind when it comes to his mastery of the offense and playcalling. 2Bs isn't going to win by trying to outdo Alabama and LSU in their own game. Also hard to match the talent of teams like Auburn and TAMU

I don't think Arky fans are delusional. They are very willing to admit that their team is going through hard times.
What else are you going to do after a win-less season in SEC play? I don't give Arkansas fan any credit for admitting they are bad when they can't win a game.

You can recognize your team is going to be bad while simultaneously not believing that is acceptable. If Arkansas had high expectations, they could still understand how bad they were/will be and recognize that as unacceptable.
What we see however is a fanbase willing to give a coach three consecutive 0-8 conference seasons before calling his performance unacceptable (your fans words, not mine). The delusion is not in the expectations but in the blind belief that Bielema will turn it around and that a 6-6 type year would indicate that turnaround.

Honestly, I'd rather our fans be delusional and want elite success than be apathetic and content at going 6-6 or 7-5 and making a bowl game.
I lived in Fayetteville for 3 months and enjoyed myself, but it's pretty clear to me that your fanbase as a whole has a massive inferiority complex. Whenever I said I went to Ole Miss, it was often followed by a non-hostile "frick you" or someone asking how much I hated Houston Nutt. The fact that I don't hate him and find it downright bizarre your fanbase as a whole hates him more than Petrino, when he took your program back to the Stone Age, made me slightly clash with your fanbase. I enjoyed my time there and the people were really nice and I made some friends, but the inferiority complex is clear.

A better question is how you aren't. Your bowl record in your lifetime is an absolute abortion.

How are Notre Dame fans delusional? They were the best team in the country two years ago until bad calls in the first quarter against Bama set the tone for that game.
Dude, don't be that guy

Im not the one defending an 0-8 coach. You wanna talk about a logically indefensible position, start with your own fanbase.

If he goes 0-8 in year three then there will most likely be a moving fan permanently parked outside of his house and his phone records will be FOI'd once a month.

That's not "fans calling his performance unacceptable in year three."
That's fans wanting to ruin his life at any cost.

But you defend paying a coach $5 million a year who has never won a conference championship in his career.

No, I dont. Ive repeatedly said we overpaid, which we unfortunately had to do or he might have left for USC.
