Unfortunately we can't count on a stiff dew every year. I think the last time there was a stiff dew for an LSU at Auburn day game was 1971.

Maybe Auburn doesn't have the players that get drafted the highest, but in their specific offense they will clearly be the best. They rushed for 90 yards more per game than the next SEC team (I know that their scheme is different than everyone else's) and was completely dominant against almost every team they played. By the end of their season when Malzahn's offense was in full form it looked like nobody could stop it. Same thing Bama had in 2012. They may not have had the best individual players, but they were pushing the defense 3 yards back before a runner got touched on any play, and both squads could give their quarterbacks plenty of pass protection if they needed to. Line's are all about how well the 5 individuals work together in the scheme their team has in place, not the one or two individual stand outs (although those do help).
