Everybody these days is more polished than QBs from 12 years ago... This feels like McNeil 2.0... Tons of A&M hype for an in-state QB.

Well leading his team to 2 consecutive state championships at the highest level of Texas high school football will probably generate some hype. Probably make it 3 in a row this year.

Look at his release, mechanics, footwork... THEN try and tell me he looks like Sheppard or McNiel.

This kid has an arm and has intangibles that are off the charts. IMHO he is a lock. Only a high mlb pick will get him away which may come given his hitting, throwing, speed and versatility. He plays 2b now but what will a scout see? Im thinking more of a Kohl Stewart, anyone agree?

The national media hyped him; "A&M" didn't.
And for the record, Oregon--the team who recruited him most heavily (apart from A&M), isn't in-state.
