Not to mention that the problem with Sanford noise level isn't the fact that it isn't closed in (though that might help some). The problem is how spread away from the field the seats are due to the natural bowl that the stadium was built into. Acoustically, it's just not a loud space; the sound has plenty of room to travel and escape (unlike Neyland, Jordan Hare, Qualcom, Ben Hill Griffin, etc. which are built with seats close to the field and at a steeper incline relative to Sanford).

I think it would be much louder if they put all the students in the end zone under the bridge. I know there's already a section there but if they moved the lower deck seats on the other side to where the visitors sit and filled the upper deck on that half instead of the other I think you'd have a huge source of noise projecting away from the open endzone that let's sound out.
