I, like many OM fans, will be pulling hard for Tennessee and Georgia on Tuesday.
Why? Playing and beating those teams would do nothing for you rpi. Ole Miss needs to play and beat teams like Florida, Vandy and USC to help your rpi. But, I doubt anyone cares who Ole Miss fans pull for. Won't have any effect on the game.

I'm not one to really call out one of my own but I think we might be letting our bias get in the way of a somewhat good discussion here.

If Ole Miss gets a National Seed it will be a nice congratulations on a damn good season. This doesn't bother me at all like it is many State fans.

The only real thing that would make me care about Ole Miss or where they end up getting their hosting seed, whether national or not, would be if State's path to Omaha somehow runs across theirs. If that happens, we split the four games we played against them this year so it could be anyone's series when and if we did play.

In short, Ole Miss had a pretty good season and if they get a national seed, props to them.

How bout this? Vandy goes 1 and Q in the SEC tourney with a loss to Tennessee while finishing 6th in the conference ? USC goes 0-2 in the conference tourney with their 3rd loss to Georgia in the last 10 games ?

I just don't get why you would say OM wants to meet Vanderbilt in the tournament... That's beyond stupid... Conference tourney wins carry weight with the committee regardless of who they come against.
