I almost wish the baseball field was located where our practice field is.
It used to be located where the Turner Center is.
the OF walls actually went almost right up to the West Side gates of the football stadium. Was more right where they're building the current arena.

eta: On the real tho, that is crazy to see. I haven't been to campus since last september.
Those are the first pictures I've seen of it. For those outside of Oxford, we don't know what is going on.

My guess is that they'll start sharing more pictures publicly once the structures start to be more visible.
A few piles of dirt isn't necessarily much to brag about after spending 100 million.

How much more public can you get? They have 3 different angles of 24/7 video feed.

Those piles of dirt cost $100,000,000?

Sorta unrelated but the old Taylor road construction is going to be a huge cluster frick. Apparently it's supposed to be done late august mid September... I highly doubt that happens.

I still don't understand the logic of having the arena so close to the stadium. I'm sure it's going to cause a pretty severe bottleneck of people getting in and out of the stadium on game day. It also pretty much eliminates the possibility of a bigger West side or an upper deck over the press box. Not that it would ever happen but an arena stays around for about 30 years, so it is in the realm of possibility.

I've heard the project supervisor is looking at a half million dollar bonus to see that the project is done before football season.

Are we talking about the giant round-a-bouts they're constructing? I heard that was a multi-year project.

Yeah, that's what I think he's talking about. They've already made a ton of progress. I've heard it's supposed to be done before football season.

Could you not just put the upper deck on the other side and fix it up and make it the home side?

home side
You do know that in FBS, there's no such thing as a home side and a visitor's side right? There's a small visitor's section (in our case two) but the rest of the stadium is the "home side."
