Well, yeah, that and the news that President Goodluck Jonathan waited almost three weeks before acting. Does that mean no action at all has taken place prior to this incident? All the killings of the boys and other abductions of girls? What a revolting government Nigeria must have.

He lacks the power in the north to do much of anything. He's doing the calculus of deciding start a civil war or not. Sad. Disgusting it comes to it. A religious civil war certainly won't be better for the people than the status quo.
Maybe the international outrage from this event (little girls get more attention, it is what it is). The Nigerian government may have the backing the act along with a population in Boko Haram controlled areas ready for them to get kicked out.
I'm afraid Jonathan still won't act for change, but it's nice to dream about squashing evil.
