I thought both Arky and LSU were giving in state tuition prices to Texas residents... Or has that stopped?

No idea. I know Louisiana and Mississippi have a mutual agreement like that (thankfully for my youngest). A&M for a Miss. resident was something nuts like 4x the LaTech rate for out-of-state students.

I paid $4.50/hour at A&M back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, only I really didn't pay that, either - the Army did. I remember the moaning and groaning when the rate was raised from $4/hr. Just a point of comparison to make you youngsters wish you were old.
