You would think that at least one of them would research the correct way to wear a uniform.

They don't do this cause they're smart to begin with.
It might just be me, but I always got miffed about the nasty girls wearing full ACUs all the time while flying. Usually they'd be complete with a slick sleeve. Just can't fricking stand it.

I'm not Army but I'm going to assume it's his blood type. A Positive, just a little ironic.

Don't worthy, I have a hunch that guy isn't in either.
Interesting bit of history about blood type identifiers and the military...the Waffen SS used to tattoo it on Soldiers' arms and after the war it was used to identify and arrest fugitives:

With his eye like that I doubt they'd ever let him in.

Also the guy in the first picture looks like Lou Holtz.

I disagree entirely. These assholes are stealing the respect due to real service personnel. I also think it ought to be criminal in some way.
What if these clowns dressed up as cops? Not a hell of a lot different. I bet they would get arrested then.

Impersonating a cop and impersonating a soldier are very different

There are no laws restricting the usage of an American military uniform authentic or inauthentic. People are allowed to wear camo, fake medals, whatever they want.
As I said earlier: I just feel sorry for them, vacuous husks without real achievement. Living a fabricated life.
In my opinion, there can be nothing worse and even so: There is severe mental problems being broadcast.

18 USC 704 - Sec. 704. Military medals or decorations
(a) In General.— Whoever knowingly purchases, attempts to purchase, solicits for purchase, mails, ships, imports, exports, produces blank certificates of receipt for, manufactures, sells, attempts to sell, advertises for sale, trades, barters, or exchanges for anything of value any decoration or medal authorized by Congress for the armed forces of the United States, or any of the service medals or badges awarded to the members of such forces, or the ribbon, button, or rosette of any such badge, decoration or medal, or any colorable imitation thereof, except when authorized under regulations made pursuant to law, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.
(b) Fraudulent Representations About Receipt of Military Decorations or Medals.— Whoever, with intent to obtain money, property, or other tangible benefit, fraudulently holds oneself out to be a recipient of a decoration or medal described in subsection (c)(2) or (d) shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
Never really enforced though and it's of questionable constitutionality. Hard to apply to most fakers too because of the "tangible benefit" bit

And that's the problem: Unless they're actively scamming for something, they're not doing anything wrong. I have never heard of anyone getting any jail time or even fined for claiming to be in the military. I've heard it happening to -active duty- who pretend to be something more. (Wearing fake patches, rank and/or awards), but never happening to a civilian for the sole wearing and possession.

Yea me neither. You're right. It's effectively legal.
Posted on 5/6/14 at 11:56 pm to KSGamecock
Although, interestingly enough apparently that new law opens the doors. But I think the text will have to be majorly fixed in order to effectively prosecute.

Can you post a picture and tell us what exactly is wrong with their uniforms (not all of them, just the best ones). I have no clue what y'all are talking about. Also, is it mostly men who do this or do women do it as well?
Posted on 5/7/14 at 12:20 am to dneverever
Sure, I will tomorrow, at least for the Army fakers. With the dress uniforms a lot it is the placement of decorations in the wrong areas of the uniform, mixing and matching service awards, mixing up the proper order of the awards, adding random shite, claiming obscene amounts of valorous awards, mixing chronologically impossible or unlikely awards or just the uniforms looking like complete shite.

I caught a young marine using some boot camp heroic medals in Houston. I waited till his dad was in the bathroom when I said "when you wear medals, maybe you should Google the correct order in wearing them son. In no way is the GWOT EX medal lower than your seas service ribbon let alone the GWOT medal for just serving during the war." His eyes got huge "Also you're not old enough to have received the GWOT Ex medal since they stopped giving those out since 05 or 06 and replaced it with 2 other medals."
I'm not sure what I would do if some jerk was a complete idiot and wearing the 3rd world leader chest.
That's not true. You can still get a GWOTE for either the Horn of Africa or Kuwait.
