I've worked indirectly with a few large, non-profits and that is the feeling I get with all of them. All of the ones I've worked with do actually do some good, but I'd say on average only about 30% of their budget goes to that good, the rest to overhead and lobbying.

I'm sure you're close to the truth, but I also spent five years with St. Jude in Memphis, and can say there is not a finer organization on earth.

I've gotten the impression both you and Salsa have from many of these large non-profits. Get a bunch of money in play and this is what happens to all organizations without the highest of virtue at the top. I remember reading about Suzie G. Coleman suing other organizations for using "For The Cure". It's sad.
