Chizik had 1 season where he won fewer than 8 games and he was fired after that season. Richt had a losing season in 2010 and finised with 4 or 5 losses last year
There's a big difference between 6-6 and a bowl loss and 3-9 with no bowl at all while going winless in the conference.
If Richt went 3-9 this season, he would be fired.

Same number as Richt, and Richt has about ten more seasons unders his belt

Not sure why I am bothering to respond to this because of who wrote it, but here goes...
Those examples are pretty big apples to oranges comparisons. Everyone that knows anything about the game could see that Chizik's team that year just completely quit playing for him and there was no sign of it ever changing during his tenure. Of the things you could say about Richt's teams, he has never had a team just give up hope. He may have been out schemed in games here and there, but his teams as a whole show up and play for him.

Chiz's 4 year stint:
09- won 8 games, but went 3-5 in SEC play
10- undefeated behind one of the 3-5 GOATs in league history and the OC who is currently the HC
11- won 8 games, lost the 3 biggest games on the schedule
12- 3-9

Well we had 8 wins last year, so by your criteria that's no big deal. And when the sample size is 13 years instead of 4 you can pull more data, obviously.
My whole point was, Richt has consistently won 10 games so we know that a year like 2010 or 2013 are the exceptions, not the rule. With chiz, 2010 was certainly the exception, not the rule. For AU it was easy after 2012 to say "look, this just isn't going anywhere". There hasn't been any point where UGA could say the same thing to richt.
