That's a conversation for black people to have amongst themselves, tbh. The word was a slur for generations by whites against blacks, and now white people are saying blacks can't use it at all? That's not a call non-blacks get to make, IMHO.

And we're getting a little off topic: I only brought up Jay-Z as a counter-example because he's the only black owner that I'm familiar with (and truth be told, I don't know many NBA owners: Peter Holt (SA--because I'm a Spurs fan), the Maloof brothers (Sacramento--because they've been in the news recently), Jay-Z (Because he's a notable celeb), Mark Cuban (because frick Dallas, that's why ), and now Donald Sterling). Hell, in Jay-Z's case, I don't even think that he may be a majority owner anymore. Don't know the particulars and don't really care.

The only reason I brought him up was to make an analogy: he's not discouraging Beyonce from bringing white people to Nets games or being photographed with them. That's it. Not going to defend that 5% garbage, as that's a whole 'nother can of worms, but at the very least, he's not doing what DS just did.
