Only reason for A&M to resume right now would be to maintain stronghold on recruiting in the state of Texas. If A&M played Texas this year and beat them like a drum, it would be nearly impossible for guys like Sheffield, Mack, and Jefferson to want to go to Texas (good possibility all those guys go to A&M anyways).

Only reason for Texas to resume would occur if they thought they could beat A&M and become the dominant program in Texas again. Considering A&M would be favored by two touchdowns in a neutral site game, there is no chance Texas is resuming this game any time soon.
