FSU is a permanent rival so that's not really y'all going out and looking for a touch OOC opponent. Schedule someone like Oklahoma, USC or Texas.

Ole Miss did it and beat Texas at Texas. Alabama and LSU have done it in the past with Michigan and Oregon. Florida very rarely schedules tough opponents outside of the SEC.

So you want us to schedule one of these games along with FSU or in place of FSU?

Wrong, they schedule one almost every year.

FSU doesn't really count. They've been on the schedule as a permanent rival for decades.

Sure they count. By scheduling them, Florida is guaranteed to have one of the toughest OOC games in the SEC almost every year. You seem to be suggesting that Florida play two power/tough OOC games each year when almost all SEC teams limit it to one each year. Why the double standard for UF?

Awesome. That wouldn't put UF at an unfair advantage every year or anything.

BTW, in case you missed it we played Miami and FSU last year and in 2017 will play Michigan and FSU.

Bullshite. FLA has had a tough enough time lately with their schedule, no point in pouring more fuel on the fire IMO.

Henry's being obtuse. IMO y'all have a damn tough schedule this year and this year is critical for your coach.

We should at least get a moratorium on schedule threads until schedule season.

I was only joking yesterday, when I said I should start a schedule thread, bitching about how weak our East opponents are.

In 2010, our OOC schedule for future seasons was:

2011

SMU
Idaho
Arkansas (Arlington)

2012

@SMU
Louisiana Tech
Arkansas (Arlington)

2013

Rice
SMU
Arkansas (Arlington)

2014

USCw
at SMU
Arkansas (Arlington)

2015

@USCw
Arkansas (Arlington)
Rice

When we joined the SEC, we had to fill two nonconference games for the 2012, 2013, and 2014 seasons. When USCw backed out, we had to fill 3 for 2014 and 2015.

A&M absolutely gets a pass. Conference realignment screwed us for OOC scheduling. We'll be back on track next year.

Bama fans have to get pretty bored from year to year with their schedule. I only watched a couple of Bama games myself all year last year.

I do. I would gladly trade one of those cupcake home games to travel to say Boulder, CO to play the Buffaloes. Regardless, are you really excited about auburn playing La Tech, & Samford?

What were your big OOC games pre-realignment?

t was only once we joined the SEC and had to gain another OOC while losing the Arky game as an OOC that the OOC schedule really weakened.

Yea, I was going to give y'all a 3 year pass because of that. Who do y'all play next year. The big name.

Some lovely weather y'all had that night in Blacksburg. I wanted to watch it, but we had already lost power.
