I think State has a good club (they very well could come back and win this series with it being in Starkville), but I think the fans expected too much after last year.

State got hot at the right time in 2013 and had a helluva run.

Partly, but this team as well as last years, is talented. They press way to hard at the plate and sometimes in the field. If they loosen up they will roll some teams. Cohen has been building this team slowly but surely and the results are showing. A lot of people feel last year was our peak but I feel its just the tip of the iceberg with Cohen. The elite talent is coming and not going pro. I mean we redshirtred that kid with the polish name from Florida that graduated early from high school while still having the potential to be drafted had he chose.

I get it man, but your fans underestimate the loss of Frazier and Renfroe in your lineup. Dudes could smash. It also kept pitchers from pitching around Rea.

You guys had over 10 hits, but only 1 run. I believe the top third of your lineup was 2-for-14.

As long as Trent keeps doing his thing, we're going to be fine today.

Cohen accomplished more at fricking Kentucky then Bianco has at ole miss

What ?!?!?

He won the SEC regular season crown once in Lexington.. Bianco has done that.. After going 20-10 and winning the SEC title that same UK team went 2 and Q in Hoover as well as in their own regional... Cohen never even reached a Super while at Kentucky... I'm not saying he's not an Elite coach cause he is but this isnt genespage brah... You shouldnt just spew false bullshite cause you hate Ole Miss and want us to go to hell... Youre gonna get called out on it when you do... I hope youre an OM or LSU alter.

I can't believe their is only one thread about us beating "big brothers" arse last night. Klong would be very disappointed that we are slacking.

Or we just know how to not act like fricking idiots...

I'll wait until we win a second game before I start shite talking.. I'm expecting MSU to bounce back today and get the big hits with 2 outs and RISP that they couldnt get last night.

I'm thinking a very WAOM-esq loss in gm 2, which of corse kills any momentum for gm3

It will happen, but the difference in us winning one game and starting threads is quite different than tsbu...

I'm not going to talk any shite, but I feel confident with Trent against the State hitters. Opposing batters are barely hitting over the Mendoza line against him and he has extreme command of his pitches (46/6 K/BB ratio)

That's my point. The amount of shite we talk is very un-little brotheresque, which we are according to folks like Klong...

Nice... There's a crawfish festival in Overton today but I just dont know if I'll be able to swing it... I'd love to get a corner table at a bar with a couple of pounds and a TV tuned to FSN.

Our fallen brother just sent me Cohens post game interview from last night. What a goddamn joke.

Yeah... That smug SOB is never one to give the other team credit... He's always been like that for some reason... When we sent his UK home from Hoover with a walk off bomb his post game comments were basically one big pussy hurt interview for the MSU job... Sometimes I think he overdoes it just to be the antiPolk... Like I said earlier in the thread, he's an elite coach but he could definitely learn a thing or two about tact from some of the other HCs in the conference.

The only thing that bothered me was when they asked if our hitting was due to being on a hot streak and being confident, and he said it was due to is hitting the ball where no one was standing.

I was expecting worse.
