Who was the better OC hire this offseason - Kurt Roper or Lane Kiffin?

It will be interesting to see how things develop, as both coaches landed at world renowned powerhouse football programs, stacked to the gills with offensive firepower. They'll both have plenty to work with.
They are both considered to be the "best in the biz" caliber guys who run dynamic, innovative offensive schemes and have proven pedigrees in the SEC.
I would rank both at or near the top of the conference, even over the likes of Cam Cameron.

It'll be interesting to see what Roper does with Florida talent, but I'm not holding my breath for either to shock the world. Kiffin is a crap-shoot of a hire for sure, though.

Really? I see Kiffin as a proven commodity.

I hear Alabama has a large following in China.

Apparently. This thread is not about Mizzou.

Lane Kiffen is not considered by ANYONE to be the best in the biz.
Even Alabama fans were pissed at this hire. His offenses at Oakland, UT, and USC really lit the world on fire huh?
ETA:
USC as head coach. Everyone knows he didn't run the offense when Pete Carroll, Sark, and Norm Chow were there.

Honestly I thought you were trolling by calling Lane Kiffen a proven commodity and "best in the biz" caliber, but I think you just might be a moron.

Lane's transformation of J Crompton was nothing short of miraculous. He might not be the most likeable guy, but he's had success in this conference.

A better question to ask would be "Which program can adapt to a poor OC hire"

is your username in reference to winning only 3 of your last 5 games of last season?

this feels like three years ago with the 'Brent Peas or Scott Loeffler' threads...

I think he would be talking about winning championships.
