TJ sucked in NWA and sounds the same in KC, Mizzou O will still be good with or without DGB.

WHB's TJ Carpenter said it about an hour ago.
You realize he was saying that to justify his prediction of Lock committing to UT.

Don't necessarily disagree but I'd take the quarterback that had 3300 yards passing last year over the backup. I think most people would.

Carpenter is a fool. First and Foremost. This whole Mizzou is stacked at QB thing was just his justification that Drew Lock should go elsewhere (He didn't)
But, would anyone be surprised if Mauk is the best QB in the conference? It's not outlandish. Not saying he will be, but it's a realistic possibility.
As for what he has around him.
3 of 5 returning OL. 1 of the new starters has starting experience. At RB Murphy and Hansborough are both proven, and Steward has looked great in the spring. At WR you have (hopefully) DGB who is one of the top players in the league. Hunt is a playmaker. Sasser and Copelin are both solid and experienced, and Darius White is looking very good (former top 50 recruit). J'Mon Moore is a 6'5" freak.
He's got plenty around him.

Marshall, Bo, or Dak will be statistically the best next year. TAMU, Thompson, Mauk, and Mason will be the next tier. LSU's QBs, Bama's QBs, and UTs QBs will be the third tier, and everybody else will fall into the last category.
As of Spring, Fall could change my picks up.

I would agree. Mauk is the best proven QB in the SEC, and it ain't close.
