Both teams should have won but choked in embarrassing fashion. After shaming the conference, the only honorable thing left to do for both programs is to commit seppuku.

is that what arky did when they lost to OSU in the sugar bowl?

UK never led last night... how is that choking?

Auburn and Kentucky didn't let the conference down. At least they made it to the game. For that matter, the other 13 teams that didn't make it to either championship let the conference down just as much.

I feel like the mentality on this board is that it is better to not make the championship game than make the championship game and lose.
It is a losers mentality held by loser programs.
They feel that going winless is a greater honor than representing yourself and challanging the best of the best.
Choking to Rutgers is better than choking to FSU.

Not sure what you're getting at. Are you saying that Auburn didn't choke in the national championship?

Is the football equivalent to that running up a 12 game conference losing streak?

No shite. One was a meaningless regular season game, the other not so much.

Trying to figure out the similarities to how both auburn and UK choked it away. They never led and lost, they choked becuase they were favorites? Auburn was a significant underdog, lost the lead and lost. So we choked too?
I know moving the goalpost is a time honored tradition but i'm bored.

You got it. Kentucky choked because they were favored and lost. Auburn choked because they led the whole game and then gave up the winning touchdown with 13 seconds left.
That's a free lesson, next one is gonna cost ya.

so every favorite that lost a game choked?... that's pretty stupid.
last night wasn't a choke job... the higher seeded, more fundamentally sound, and better coached team won.

Kentucky made an incredible run, was favored in the championship game, and lost. I would call that a choke job. If you wouldn't, guess what, I don't care. You're getting caught up in semantics.
