The article features AJ McCarron, Zach Mettenberger, Connor Shaw, and Aaron Murray.

Some people are going to have to eat their words regarding AJ under pressure

Definitely. I was surprised I must say. He looked brutal VS VT and Oklahoma with pressure.

The James Franklin disrespect continues.

Yep. And he completed over 70% of his passes on designed blitz plays.

He's not going to the NFL and was a much better runner than passer. Can't dispute that.

Been saying for a while, when a pocket collapses he can still be golden. When someone is in his face, he can make a one or two guys miss (surprisingly), but ultimately he's done. Most of the "failures under pressure" came when guys were unblocked.

James Franklin could have made the SECCG winnable for Mizzou with better accuracy. He had WRs down field absolutely naked all game. Solid game plan by AU to make him beat them.

I've got nothing against Penn State's head coach.

- Aside from slight variation of approximately 2% in some of the zones, Connor Shaw nearly represents the average quarterback perfectly. He threw the intermediate and deep zones around 5% more than average, but falls in line with what we’d expect from a draftable QB.

Pretty good numbers from Shaw and with his ability to scramble in the pocket and pick up occasional first downs with his feet he will make a good late round pickup.

- Shaw showed other positive decision making attributes, racking up the lowest amount of throws into coverage (deflections and interceptions) among both QB groups which could mean his problems under pressure may be coachable.
The best case for Shaw would be to go somewhere where he can sit behind a seasoned QB who he can learn from and doesn't have to start any important games in his first couple of years.

- As noted earlier, Mettenberger threw deep far more often than what is expected of college QBs. If he had capitalized on his higher accuracy in the shorter zones he would have seen an increase in his total accuracy.

Interdasting.

Aaron Murrays numbers are not a real indication. He had to stop going over 20 yards when his top 4 wide receivers went down.
