Exactly. I'm not sure there is another school's fanbase or alumni that believes in the romantic myth of themselves as much as Auburn people do. They then have the nerve to project their holier than thou arrogance onto Alabama alums as if WE alone are the truly arrogant ones about our school. You have post after post and countless other examples of Auburn people referring to Alabama people as "subhuman trash" and making no distinction between alums and non alums. Yet WE are the arrogant elitist ones.
:lol
Auburn is an above average school that has pockets of excellence throughout the school. If Auburn fans left it at that and didn't act as if setting foot on Auburn's campus was some mystical, religious, or holy experience, people would take you guys more seriously.

hey I get that same crap from Auburn fans when I'm in Georgia or the pan handle and the past couple of months Birmingham Barners have been plain obnoxious
but Auburn people from the state have a sense of humor about it, it seems that the Georgia section seems to take things a lil too seriously
man I have heard that "got a sec?" everywhere the past couple of months so this Auburn fans as innocent wallflowers getting bothered by obnoxious Bammers image you guys are trying to paint is kind of bull shite

Honestly, if I see someone up here in VA (or when I was in OK) wearing AU gear, I'll usually greet them - and be glad there's someone around who understands real SEC football.
When I lived in Georgia (Newnan area) the AU fans I encountered were complete twats and tools. Some were cool though. I think they were trying to overcompensate for being around so many UGA and GT fans.
When I lived in Alabama (B'ham suburbs, Alabaster) I had friends from both fandoms and we never cared one way or another. The Iron Bowl was the only day we talked trash, and even then it never meant much. We'd hang out the next day regardless of who won and not give a crap.
I can't speak much on rural Alabama, but suburbia Alabama both fanbases were indistinguishable from each other except what color hats and shirts they wore on gameday.
