The Mac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad were all what I would consider "revolutionary." And good for them.

None of these were revolutionary. All of these designs had been in the market for a long time before Apple pushed them to their zombie sheep fanbase. All Apple did was hype demand - the supply had been there. I will say that with the increased demand, production and further innovation of these products increased greatly.

The iPod single handedly took over the MP3 player market. There was nothing like it. The Zune was worthy, but the iPod was first.

Now tell me what there was before the iPhone? Windows pocket edition? Some crap with Palm OS? Or some horrendous Symbian phone?

No, the iPhone set the standard for smartphones, end of story. Sure, others are doing it better--NOW. The Nexus line is the top shelf for me. But the iPhone was a nuclear bomb.

And then they said the iPad was a large iPhone. Guess what: it was, and it defined YET ANOTHER segement that finds Samsung, Microsoft, etc all jumping in -- AFTER the iPad made it viable.

You may not like them, but give credit where credit is due. Also note, all of this was Steve Jobs's doing. Now that he's gone, I think you can stick a fork in Apple.

yes and no

the computer; the mp3 player, the cellphone and the tablet all predates Apple's gadgets..... but Apple made the best versions they could think of. ie, if you can't invent something, make the best damn something that exists possible and the money will flow
