I think this is a better scenario than if we had fired him (although it looks like we would have gotten B. Williams in that scenario).
We are likely offering him a 2 year extension and ~$500K raise. I think that is fair for what he's done here.
I think the roster is in worse shape today than we got here which is never a good sign.

It's hard for me to see Tennessee not screwing this up. All we do is burn bridges.

Tennessee's talent level and matchups are what got them to the Sweet 16. First they got to play Iowa, a team that had lost 7 games in a row to finish the season. Then they get UMass, who was nowhere near as big as Tennessee physically. Then they get Mercer who was missing one of their best players due to a concussion.
I don't attribute those wins to Cuonzo's coaching. If you give him credit for the Sweet 16, you also have to acknowledge that he lost to Vandy and aggy twice.
