Would be a huge get for Auburn but a dumb move by Pearl. He could do much better.

Edit...it makes a little sense in that Pearl said he preferred to go to a football school with a lot of resources. Auburn clearly qualifies in that regard. However, he added that it would be a football school that also cares a lot about basketball too which probably disqualifies Auburn.

Auburn was in the top 4 in money spent, IIRC, on recruiting for bball in the SEC. Barbee had some good classes. He just couldn't keep them at Auburn.

If AU ever managed to put a quality product on the floor, I think AU fans would care a LOT. Right now we are sort of numb after years of BBall Suckage.
