Nice to see Donovan finally winning some COY awards, it only took the SEC 16 years to give him one.

Wish Brenton Williams would've been on 2nd Team All-SEC, dude was an absolute beast this season.

Happy for Portis and it's deserved. I'm a bit surprised Madden didn't make the 2nd team simply because he carried us for awhile- altho he pisses me off more than just about anyone on the team at times.

Is it common to have so many ties that you have 8 first team all-SEC players and 10 second team all-SEC players? Makes the award seem a little diluted. Obviously, it is fair if the voting ended up in ties, but just seems like a lot of people.

Young earned the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award for the third consecutive year, sporting a 3.38 grade-point average in Telecommunications. This year the senior from Jacksonville, Fla., added SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors to his accolades after averaging 10.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Young is the glue!!

Agreed. Williams is the only reason we aren't winless in conference losing by 15+ per game. Very surprised he wasn't at least 2nd team given his PPG lately.

if I'm being unbiased, I would've voted Prather player of the year. maybe McRae
