The playbook complication things are so overstated.
Pruitt is going to ask 3 times more from his players than Grantham asked last season.
The difference is that he will simplify the alignments (sequential formations, one word playcalls). We'll get lined up much easier with Pruitt.
But players are going to have to be better masters of technique (ie. Floyd in zone or holding the edge against the run).

It may have been complicated, but college offenses and defenses are very, very more complex than high school, so frankly, it is hard to say how complex they really were. I think the bigger issue is most players did not like him and that he held grudges against players. If he was affable and the D was kicking arse, no one would have said shite about his scheme...
