Takes a lot of the drama out of it but I would be all for an early signing period. Would take the stress and pressure off of kids that know where they want to go and keep other coaches from consistently blowing them up.

Finally.

Will antibarner claim this is the rule Saban was really after and the others were just a smokescreen?

Would cut down on flips, particularly by those who are COERCED to flip.

Hope that doesn't pass, the drama is why I have come to love it and follow it so much now.

Why would any good recruit want to sign early? They tend to like the attention and probably want to be wined and dined until the end

I like this in a way, and in a way, I don't.

I enjoy the drama of the last minute surprises but I would like to see the early work rewarded.

I can just see a set of parents pissed off because little Johnny and his parents signed on a recruiting visit and he is no longer allowed to switch.
