I think he did some stuff at the combine but didn't throw. I don't think he has anything to gain by doing anything further at this point.

He worked out at the combine, was measured, and did interviews, but did not throw.
He's going to throw for scouts on March 27. His agent thinks the timing will be better for him, or something like that.

Johnny and Mike Evans are there supporting their teammates.
Johnny will have a separate, private, on-campus workout March 27.
Speculation is that Mike may be working out with Johnny at that event.
Johnny had a limited combine workout, only doing some testing (e.g., 40-yd dash), but not throwing with the other QBs.

there's really no point for a prospect like JM to throw unless he thinks he's going to show scouts something they haven't seen. there's plenty of game film on him to know his capabilities. he really can only hurt himself IMO

On March 27th, Manziel is throwing for any scouts who want to come watch him.
He decided not to throw at the A&M pro day because a) it takes attention away from other guys at A&M who are hoping to get noticed and b) it gives some of those other guys a second chance to get noticed, when Johnny is throwing them the ball in a few weeks during his workout.

you really think this is why? chances are, more guys would get noticed were he to participate because there would be more scouts present to see JM

some of them, as in the 2 or 3 receivers participating. The more likely scenario is A) Manziel wants his own pro day because he wants all the attention on himself or B) Mike Evans wants 2 pro days. It is more than likely a detriment to the rest of the guys at pro day because fewer scouts will be present the first go around. I'm sorry, I'm just not buying he's having his own workout as a favor to his team mates.

Actually, what he's doing is not uncommon among draft prospects in similar situations--and it's exactly what he's been advised to do.
