I lived there for some time and I can promise you that people come from all over the country to protest stuff like this. Idk if they were affiliated with OM or not but the fact of the matter is doing this in Oxford gets you national attention. Doing this in most towns does not.

Wrong because if they were faculty they would be fired immediately. There was a kid in the Rebel Run a few years ago that broke out the confederate flag while running across the football field. He got expelled.

On the contrary, I'd proffer the opposite: In a town the size of Oxford, the chances of being recognized are very good.
A professor and/or administrator would therefore face intense scrutiny and consequences to such public behavior. If I'm an Oxford resident, I go elsewhere to exercise my right of free speech on this topic.
And let's be honest: Those folks aren't students.
