So you felt it necessary to promote the actions of six dumbasses.

How do you know they're not affiliated with the university?

Never said they were, but the poster I was responding to sounded pretty certain that they weren't. Just wondering if there's any proof of that.

Stonehog, why have you picked this particular battle to fight?
Posted on 3/3/14 at 9:46 am to Stonehog
any proof YOU'RE not affiliated with these people?

I don't go to Ole Miss, for starters.

Why do they choose Oxford and not, say....
Jackson, or any number of other, Mississippi towns?

well seeing as how the people in the OP are >60, likely neither are they.
but you avoiding the question leads me to believe that you're involved. I only asked for simple proof and you can't provide it.

That they're students at OM?
I was just curious, that's all.
I probably should direct my question to the OP.
I think it's interesting that people often choose to believe the worst about others, rather than the best.
No big deal. Carry on.

So....you're going to completely ignore actual Klan rallies held in many cities across the South? Including Jackson and Tupelo.

Chicago is the most dangerous city in America. Yet a few ole folks waiving the battle flag in Mississippi concerns them?

I never said they were students, I just asked one poster why he thought these people weren't affiliated with the university. They could be faculty.

Probably for the very reason that ultimately came to fruition--greater exposure.
They know oxford is under a microscope.
And I'd bet that they do choose other towns as well.
But headlines like "Confederate flag protesters in Grenada, MS" aren't as salty.

And one of them could also be you. You've yet to deny it so that raises a bit of concern.

Oxford is a small town, it's reasonable to infer that these people are affiliated with Ole Miss in some way. Whether they be students, faculty, administrators or the grounds crew.
