Calipari deserves some criticism from his recent performance, but not from Pat Forde, he can suck a dick.
Pat doesn't like John personally and it shows in that article.

Missed the press conference, wow.
He did radio.
Pitino skipped the press conference after Calipari beat him again this year, but you won't find Forde criticizing him.

That's because Forde is a blowhard

The criticism Cal needs is that he has put way too big of expectations on the last 2 teams. The All Access on ESPN stuff last season turned out to be a disaster and all of the 40-0/the next fab five stuff this preseason have led to a down season.
Cal had the sky high expectations, or the fan base? Hell, before the season ever started, all we heard about was 41-0.

Both, but it is Calipari's job to try to temper those expectations.
It wasn't just the fans that bought the hype too, the media fell for it too.

Agreed. Forde was a longtime UofL beat writer and is besties with Rick Pitino. I'd take a lot more credence in the criticism if it was from someone like Bilas or along those lines.

Its not like they lost 76-38 to a team with ugly colors.

Oh, I get it. Jealous I see. Good to know. You're not along. We are quite happy with Cal.

Oh jealous that Mike is owning Cal?
LOLOLOLOLOL
Not at all, keep Cal forever..

The real question is should downshift on recruiting. Get the guys like Randle, Davis, and Noel but not chase out the guys like Goodwin that could use another year.
I would hate to see what UF would look like start 5 players like Hill and Walker

With so many NCAA tournament appearances and wins to show for it...
Wait.....
Ummm....
Mike Anderson was successful against Cal while he was at UAB and guess what it didn't mean jack shite in the long run.

He did that this year. People seem to skip over some of the other guys added to this class.
Dakari Johnson was seen as a 2-3 year guy coming out of high school
Marcus Lee is likely a 3-4 year guy
Derek Willis and Dominique Hawkins are both talented Kentucky kids that will be their for 4 years.
He had guys like this but they are choosing to transfer. Wiltjer could of provided this team a serious shooting boost from off the bench this year. Ryan Harrow could possibly continued to develop and maybe even battle Andrew Harrison for the starting PG position.
He has had quite a few players transfer because he is honest with them when it comes to playing time just like he is honest with kids when it comes to the draft. If you aren't willing to be a role player then go get you some PT elsewhere.

Yea, some of these Hog posters are hot garbage. Havent seen quite a few of them since last off season. A couple of wins over a down Kentucky program sure brought them back in force.

Winning much at any major sport is a rare occurrence at Arky. You can tell. It's so adorable and sad all at once...

Forde represents what the media has become in the 21st century. A complete and total douchebag whose only purpose in life is to stir shite up

The NBA surprisingly has a lot of good young writers out there, but other than them I completely agree.
Unless it is a local beat writer they are all pretty terrible. Just a bunch of people trolling for web traffic.
